Happy V Day and Thanks Grandma Cindy

For Valentines Day Grandma Cindy bought us some fun stuff to play with in the kitchen. She gave us heart shape cookie cutters, Valentines paper cups for cupcakes and some heart sprinkles. So we deicided we better use all of it.

Here are the results:

(These are the cookies we made for Liv's school v-day party)

Thanks and hope everyone had a good Valentines Day!!

40 Days

With tomorrow being Ash Wednesday I thought this year it would be interesting to see if I could actually give up something and follow through for the full 40 days! Although there is so much I need to give up it is hard to pick just one!!! So any ideas:

(some of mine)

Cookies

Pop (of course should do it anyway)

sleeping in

Eating fried food

What are some other ideas or which one of mine do you think I should do?

Please comment soon -- I only have to midnight!

This Little Girl is....

Cavity FREE!!!
(This was her present for no cavities. She was so excited to wear it when she got home)

Playdough

Playdough Recipe:

Mix Well in Big Bowl:

3 C Flour

1 1/2 C Salt

3 TBSP Cream of Tarter

Pour over flour mixture:

3 C Boiling Water

3 TBSP Cooking Oil

Mix all really well and let cool for 1-2 hrs

After playdough has cooled seperate it into to 4 smaller batches.

**Note: Mine was pretty crumbly but once I mixed the lotion in it started to stay together.

Then once I kneaded the food coloring in it was just right.

Add 2 TBSP hand lotion (I used Aveeno because I had it --it shouldn't matter what you use though)

Then knead in your choice of food coloring--

This took awhile for me!

Store in Ziploc bags!! It should last you for quite awhile!!!
