Halloween UGH

So I guess I shouldn't complain, normally Halloween is accompanied with snow. I actually thought that would be the case this year also since we got our first snow fall about 2 weeks ago. But this last week has been gorgeous. We haven't been wearing coats -- yesterday I wore flip flops and was so excited cause it was warm outside. This morning I woke up to over cast. Now the wind is picking up there is thunder outside and I am just plain mad!!!!!! Can't we just have one nice Halloween!

Halloween: Part 1

Halloween is now my favorite holiday. An holiday that was just one day have fun --has turned into a two week event now that we have carnivals, parties and the actual trick or treat day. Alivia has had so much fun dressing up. I can't complain either it has been fun dressing her up. Austin has been a good sport also. Poor kid~ At least his costume is pretty warm. The Halloween season started about a week ago. We went trick or treating at our friends parents house because they were going to be out of town on Halloween. The girls liked dressing up and looked pretty cute!! Kamryn was a pirate and Alivia a princess.
Austin was the cutest lion ever. He is such a good sport!!!
Alivia and Kamryn being silly! The next event was Grace Lutheran (the school my little sister goes to) had a halloween carnival. They have it every year. And we go every year. Now it is actually fun cause I Alivia gets to go and play all the games. Let me explain the costume switch. Alivia has been talking about being a witch this whole month and then we went to go and look at some witch's hats and she was scared. She didn't want to be witch anymore. So my mom went and got her a princess costume. As halloween got closer she saw more and more witches and then informed me that she was not afraid of witches anymore and that was what she wanted to be for halloween. So she switched costumes and is now a witch.

She loved the idea of being a witch now and was pretty excited.

Austin is a dog this time around because we figured we would be inside all night and it would be to hot to be a lion.
Here is Alivia with my sisters friends. Dakota, Gabby, Dillon, Alivia and Sequoia. She thinks she is hot stuff when she is with these girls. Here she is getting her ticket punched to do the pumpkin toss. She actually got it into the pumpkins mouth. Here she is picking a prize!!

Here is Alivia being camera shy!
This is her after getting ready for my work party. She was so excited to wear "lips"!
Here she is doing the cupcake walk. She didn't care about the cupcakes she just liked walking around to the music.

Once again the cutest lion ever!!

My Job

*If you look from the left I am the first white shirt with dark hair.

Well not that anyone asked, but I felt like blogging. Couldn't think of what to blog about so I thought I would tell everyone about what I do aside from being a mom and wife.

Every other weekend on Friday at 6:30 pm I say good bye to my family. They have learned that mentally and sometimes physically I will not be fully available to them in the next 60 hours.

Where do I go:

I work at Portneuf Medical Center in the Emergency room. But not "in" the emergency room. I am actually in this little place they call "the hole", but it is really an office, with no window and all white walls. This is know as the Communications Center. There is a lot of stuff to play with in Com Center, but it is all to be taken seriously.

What do I do:

I am a communication specialist. My main job is to dispatch our heilicopter and fixed wing and communicate with them. Yes I get to talk on the radio to the helicopter pilot while he is in the air. While it is fun and exciting it does get a little stressful. Along with that I also take calls from incoming ambulances then I let our ER staff know. Then I do a lot of paper work (which isn't as bad as it sounds)

Why did I write that I am gone for 60 hrs earlier:
I am not really gone gone for 60 hrs, but I work 3 12 hour graveyards in a row. My shift is from 6:45 pm til 7 am. Yep all night. Then I come home and sleep til the home life awakens. I try to stay asleep as long as I can but that is not easy with a husband, a 2 year old and a 6 month old. And for some reason after only have 4 hours of sleep I wake up and feel so rested and wanting to spend time with my family so every saturday like a dummy I get up hoping that I will get another nap before my shift. I do sometimes, but not always. I don't think I realize my lack of sleep during the weekend, but during the next week it really hits me (just ask my husband).

This job has been really good and is a really good stepping stone into my future of nursing. Every time I come here it reminds me of my goals and makes me want to work hard to get there. I plan on applying to the nursing program at College of Southern Idaho this spring and cannot wait to get done.
So anyhow that is it for now. Sorry if you read this and you were bored. I was bored to and that is why I wrote it.

6 MONTHS

So time has flown by Austin is six months old today. It is weird to think he has been with us six months already. He really has been a completion to our family and we would definently not be the Mitch Sherman Family without him. He is growing big I won't have exact numbers till tomorrow but I will let you know. He is now sitting up by himself, crawling on his belly (although just these last few weeks he will get up on his knees and even his tip toes and just rest on them). He is such a beautiful baby and he is so good ~~ I have been so lucky. He eats whatever you feed him and sleeps when he is supposed too!! He also puts up with his big sister Alivia. I think secretly he is letting her have her way now cause he knows what is about to come!!! WE LOVE YOU AUSTIN!!!

So Alivia went to a princess party this week and she has been wanting to dress up for as a princess for so long. Here is a picture of her before the party. She was so adorable and was so careful (at first) to not mess up her dress.
PS~ Daddy we miss you~~~Can't wait to see you on Friday!!!!
